Making and using an email account

Many employers send offers and documents by email. Here is how to use it.

Make an account

Most Android phones already have a Gmail account. Open the Gmail app to check. Choose a simple, professional address, like ravi.kumar.cook@gmail.com, not a nickname.

Send your CV by email

  1. 1Tap Compose.
  2. 2Type the employer's email in To.
  3. 3Write a subject, like "Application for cook job – Ravi Kumar".
  4. 4Write two polite lines, then attach your CV with the paper-clip icon.
  5. 5Tap Send.

Stay safe

Never send your passwords or OTPs by email. Be careful of emails saying you won money or a job abroad if you pay a fee.
