Filling online forms and staying safe online
Use government and job websites safely, and avoid fake sites.

Check the website
Government websites in India end in .gov.in or .nic.in. Look carefully at the address before typing anything. Fake sites copy logos and change one letter.
Filling a form
- Keep your documents ready: ID, photo, certificates.
- Type your name exactly as on your ID.
- Check everything before you tap Submit, and save the receipt or screenshot.
Strong passwords
Use a password that is long and not your name or birth date. Don't use the same password everywhere. Never share passwords or OTPs.
If you pay a fee
Pay only on the official website, and only fees the official notice mentions. Keep the receipt.
