Lesson 6 of 6

After the interview: follow up and the offer

How to follow up politely, and what to check before you say yes.

3 min +10 points

Say thank you

The same day, send a short message: "Thank you for meeting me today. I am very interested in the cook job. — Ravi." It is polite and helps the employer remember you.

Wait, then follow up once

If you hear nothing in 3 or 4 days, call or message once to ask about your application. Don't call many times a day.

Before you say yes, check

  • Salary: how much, and which date it is paid.
  • Hours and weekly off.
  • Food, stay, uniform: are they free?
  • PF and ESI: will they be given?
  • Ask for an offer or joining letter, even a simple one on WhatsApp.

If you don't get the job

It's okay. Ask politely what you can do better next time, and keep applying. Every interview is practice.
