Lesson 3 of 5
Phone and WhatsApp manners at work
Simple rules that make employers trust you more.
3 min +10 points
Your phone at work
- Keep it on silent while working.
- Don't take personal calls in front of customers. Step away if it is urgent.
- Never film customers, guests or patients.
WhatsApp with your employer
- Start with a greeting: "Good morning sir."
- Write short, clear messages. One topic per message.
- Use voice notes only if your employer is okay with them.
- Reply to work messages within a few hours.
- Don't send forwards, jokes or late-night messages.
Taking leave or running late
Message before your shift, not after: "Good morning sir, I have fever today and cannot come. I will be back tomorrow. Sorry for the trouble." Clear and early messages build trust.
