Lesson 5 of 5

Working well with your supervisor and team

How to take instructions, ask questions and be someone everyone wants on the team.

3 min +10 points

Taking instructions

Listen carefully and repeat the key point back: "So, clean rooms 201 to 210 before 12. Okay." If you are not sure, ask now, not after you finish the work wrong.

Asking for help

It is okay to say "I haven't done this before. Can you show me once?" Good supervisors like workers who learn instead of guessing.

Being a good teammate

  • Come on time, every day.
  • Share the work; don't leave it for others.
  • Help new people learn.
  • Keep your area clean when you finish.

When there is a problem

Talk to the person calmly and privately first. If it continues, tell your supervisor. Avoid gossip and fights at work.
